passionate about owning your own business or side hustle; in fact, you know it’s your calling. You so badly want to get clarity on your business idea and strategy so that you can launch it and ramp it up to have consistent cash-flow. But right now, you’re overwhelmed by the thought of getting clients and creating a business that truly suits your lifestyle. The idea of being able to quit your job because your business has taken off seems far away, but you know deep down that you’re capable of it, just with a little guidance. All of this is creating some stress in your life, sometimes putting you into a state of perfection paralysis. That’s because you ‘don’t know what you don’t know’ about the right marketing yet, and you’re still learning what’s going to work so that you can set up a sustainable business and sign your first clients. A lot of energy is going out, but the results aren’t exactly what you want them to be, and you know you can’t keep doing the same things anymore, because you keep getting the same under-whelming results. Step #1: The Inner Work
It all starts and ends with your mindset. In order to get somewhere you’ve never gone, you have to do something you have never done… This means updating your mindset so that you can experience radical and continuous shifts in your business, income and life. The right mindset will bring you the clients you can serve at the prices you are truly worth. This means doing a landscape assessment with meon how you see yourself and what’s possible for you. We will set a vision that stretches you and excites you, and we will clear the blocks you’re having from really being “all-in,” and taking the leap.
Step #2: Get crystal clear on your muse.
Your ideal client is the filter for all of your marketing. In this meeting, we will discover exactly who your perfect muse is —and you may have more than one— so that we can determine the messaging around why you are their problem-solver, as well as the optimal ways to reach them in masses. Often my clients will use this session for exploration: who are all the types of people you’re passionate to help? As a coach, it’s my job to support you in pinpointing that.
Step #3: Create your powerful marketing strategy.
Now that you are crystal clear on your muse, it’s crucial that you learn how to market to them. This means being able to construct your positioning, your elevator pitch, your pull questions– with your own unique twist. The goal here is for your clients to self-select as your perfect muse, meaning that your marketing is so compelling and clear that they are ready to hire you before they even get on the phone with you. Believe me, this is possible.
Step #4: Share your rise to success.
While the market may be full of service providers in your niche, it’s your signature story that makes you uniquely YOU! And that’s what clients want; they want someone who truly sees them, and understands them. This sort of heart-to-heart connection begins with your signature story. For this reason, we will use this session to craft your signature story—your heartfelt, honest and unique journey into the work you do. We’ll share our signature formula for you to craft an effective narrative about who you are, so that you can use it on stages, in consultation calls and even on your “about” page of your website. Being able to share your big WHY of why you do the work you do will be a key ingredient for you brand, and it will help clients see why YOU are the solution to their problems.
Step #5: Package and price your knowledge.
We were all born with natural talents that are just part of who we are, and it’s key that you know exactly what those unique gifts are… What are you profoundly good at? This is your sauce, and this is what we want to package and price. In this session, we’ll share how you can effectively create your service offerings, and package what you know into stellar programs that inspire prospective clients to hire you. We’ll also share innovative business structures and revenue streams through which you can sell your services. We think big, and we want to inspire you to do the same!
Step #6: Craft your signature program.
In order to have a successful service-based business, you must stand out from the crowd. This means developing a step-by-step blueprint (just like this one you’re reading!) that is uniquely your own— one that allows your perfect muse to understand that you are their problem solver. In order to gain trust with your audience, it’s crucial that you develop a clear, step-by-step program that allows clients to understand how you’ll help them overcome their pain. This also allows them to also feel into their results!
Step #7: Creating impeccable branding.
Your branding is a dance between expressing yourself and resonating with your client. We are going to talk about your marketing channels — sales pages, websites, social media— and all that you’ll need to really be “out there.” This means that your branding, your videography and your photo shoots relay the right message – your heartfelt message—that translates into clients knocking your door down!We’ve learned so much about how to create a brand that becomes trusted and respected, and we want to support you in doing the same.
Step #8: Turn your website into a cash generator.
It’s been said that marketing is more important than mastery. While that may be contestable, we do know it’s important that you put yourself out there in a BIG way when you have gifts to share. Creating a marketing optimized website is not just about aesthetics, it’s about opt-ins. There’s a certain level of functionality that is crucial to your website’s success in bringing you solid leads. In this session, you will learn the art of the weekly newsletter, blog content and free gifts for your community. This means understanding why and how people subscribe to your mailing list, how to nurture them while keeping them aware of your services. Best of all, I’ll share with you how you can start generating leads IN YOUR SLEEP (the best kind of lead generation!).
Step #9: Craft your signature speech.
In this session, we’ll go over the critical framework on how to craft a powerful talk that you can use over and over again to connect directly with your potential clients. Once you craft this talk, you can schedule speaking engagements until you’re blue in the face! And you’ll see that ideal clients keep showing up, because this talk is not about you; it’s about them. They need to feel understood and aligned with your gifts. You’ll also learn how to book multiple engagements and start charging for your time doing this. It’s time that you take your place on stage, my friend.
Step #10: Create a press avalanche.
Nothing adds credibility to your business quite like an explosion of press coverage. I’ll teach you everything I know about how to become a subject matter expert and thought leader in your marketplace: this means pitching yourself to the media, selecting the right outlets, getting your articles published, and securing a large, targeted following on social media. Step #11: Have a powerful enrollment conversation with your perfect muse.
It’s not about selling; it’s about serving… It’s disappointing to put lots of hours into your marketing if you’re not closing the sale with your free consults. While our work will bring you strong positioning in the marketplace, it’s of the utmost importance that you know how to authentically and properly serve by closing the sale. You only want to work with great clients, and when they end up on the phone with you, it’s your gift to serve them well. I’ll share step-by-step information so that you can close the sale every time, without fail.
Step #12: Playing BIG.
We’ll revisit all of your big goals we started with at the beginning of our work so that we can create a project management timeline for you to get big things done! We will talk about different business models you can adopt moving forward so that you can scale your business to new heights! I’ll help you schedule your time out over the next 12 months so you create that big, beautiful business that excites you, supports you and makes the world a better place. This could be an online business, this could be a high-level consulting practice, or it could be a leveraged model of others working under you… Whatever it is, we will plan for it.
